Presentation of Kazakh translation of Daniel Yergin’s bestselling book “The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money and Power”

In the framework of VII Astana Economic Forum on 21st of May 2014 kazakh edition of Daniel Yergin’s “The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money and Power” will be presented. The book was released in 2013 by Kazakhstan’s “Raritet” publishing house with the sponsorship support of national company “KazMunaiGaz” and under editing of Governor of National Bank of Kazakhstan Kairat Kelimbetov with a preface from the president of national oil company “Rosneft” Igor Sechin and Daniel Yergin himself.
The Prize” describes the struggle for power and money which always accompanies oil extraction and will always be a fuel for global conflicts. Book has many examples of historical personalities like Rockefeller, Nobel family, Rothschild, Churchill, Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Nasser, Saddam Hussein, Saudi King’s Ibn Saud, Faisal, Shah Reza Pahlavi, Mikhail Gorbachev and others.
Daniel Yergin is an expert in the field of global energy, international politics and economy. He is the founder and chairman of Cambridge Energy Research Associates, one of the leading company in research and consulting in filed of energy.
