The newly elected Executive Committee will continue FIC’s efforts to support Romania’s development as a competitive, stable, and attractive destination for foreign investment, while promoting a transparent and predictable business environment.

“It has been an honor to serve one year as President of the Foreign Investors Council and to work alongside such a dedicated and committed Board. I would like to sincerely thank my colleagues for their trust, collaboration, and shared vision throughout my mandate. Together, we have strengthened FIC’s role as a constructive partner in Romania’s economic development. “I would like to thank the Board Members for their trust and support! I am honored to take on the role of President of the Foreign Investors Council and to continue working alongside such a strong and dedicated community of business leaders. I would like to thank Gilles Ballot for his valuable leadership and contribution during this mandate. As we approach the important milestone of FIC’s 30th anniversary in 2027, we also have a valuable opportunity to reflect on our contribution to Romania’s economic development and to further strengthen our role looking ahead. We will focus on strengthening dialogue with authorities and supporting policies that enhance Romania’s competitiveness and long-term economic growth. Together, we remain committed to fostering a stable, predictable, and attractive investment environment. Romania has the opportunity to consolidate its position as a regional investment hub.” stated Alessio Menegazzo, FIC President.

The newly elected Vice Presidents, Mihaela Bîtu and Alexandru Reff, reiterated their commitment to supporting FIC’s strategic priorities and to actively contributing to initiatives aimed at improving the investment climate and advancing Romania’s economic resilience. They emphasized the importance of a country strategy and of the economic diplomacy by promoting Romania internationally with a clear objective of accelerating the  foreign investment in the country, an essential pillar for economic growth.

FIC remains a trusted partner for Romanian authorities, advocating for measures that drive investment, competitiveness, and sustainable growth, while ensuring that Romania continues to strengthen its role within the European and global economy.

Over the more than 25 years since the organization’s establishment, FIC member companies have consistently emphasized the importance of dialogue between the business community and authorities.
